I am a member of the Professional Editors Association of Vancouver Island (PEAVI) as well as The Writers Union of Canada and the Federation of BC Writers.
I have fifteen years of experience editing papers for academic research journals. I have worked for Clinical Nursing Research and the Western Journal of Nursing Research, and currently work for Theory & Psychology. For this journal, I copy edit accepted manuscripts, ensuring they follow APA 7th edition style as well as proofread all issues prior to publication.
I would be happy to copy edit, check APA style, correct English flow, and/or proofread your academic book, paper, master’s thesis, or doctoral dissertation.
Editing your Creative Writing
I am a short fiction writer with an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Victoria. My short stories have been published widely in Canadian literary magazines, and in the United States and the UK.
During my MFA, I mentored first-year writing students with their creative work. I would love to mentor you as you work on short fiction, a novel, or creative non-fiction such as travel writing or memoir. We can work with the structure of your piece, plot, language, sentence structure, and general readability.
